  • Libro "Filosofía Judía y Aborto"

    En este tratado, el cual es la investigación más reciente y completa sobre el tema y la única en idioma español, a través de un meticuloso análisis del estatus del cigoto, embrión y feto bajo la cultura judía, incluyendo sus perspectivas filosóficas, legales e históricas, el Dr. Szlajen reajusta la cuestión sobre el aborto a demanda actualmente canalizada en posiciones radicalizadas o meros tópicos teóricos, trascendiéndolos por medio de la pragmática cosmovisión monoteísta judía.   • Judaísmo y Medio Ambiente: un mensaje de mesura

    Distintos preceptos bíblicos, según las interpretaciones de algunos ambientalistas, dan a la especie humana una potestad absoluta sobre la naturaleza, y por ello la cultura bíblica es considerada la causa de la corrupción actual del medio ambiente. En este trabajo, el Dr. Szlajen, no sólo analiza dicho fenónemo como una interpretación descontextualizada del propio marco cultural y lingüístico al cual pertenecen dichos preceptos, sino también investiga y expone, mediante referencias a las fuentes más importantes como prístinas del judaísmo, más sus relevantes filósofos o exégetas, el marco donde algunos de lo tópicos más importantes de dicha cultura en relación al hombre y su medio ambiente son descriptos. Este entorno propuesto por el judaísmo, no sólo resulta en un mensaje de equilibrio y mesura vigente en pos de lidiar con la actual situación ambiental, sino además para el renovado neo-paganismo manifestado en ciertos movimientos ambientalistas radicales, quienes trasladan, polarizando, el problema de la moderna egolatría al postmoderno Deus sive natura.---------------------------(According to the interpretations of some environmentalists, several biblical precepts would seem to give to the human species an absolute imperium on nature, and consequently the biblical culture is considered by them the principal cause of the current corruption of the environment. In this paper, Dr. Szlajen, not only analizes such phenomenon as an interpretion of those precepts out of context of their own cultural and linguistic framework, but also Dr. Szlajen explores in detail and shapes a framework where some of the more important topics of Judaism in relation to man and his environment are characterized based on the references to the most important sources as pristine of Judaism, as well as, through the most important Jewish philosophers or exegetes. This proposed framework by Judaism, results not only in a still valid message of balance and moderation to deal with the current environmental problems, but also for the renovated neo-paganism manifested by certain radical environmentalist movements who transfer, in a polarized way, the problem of the modern self-worship to the nature-worship or postmodern Deus sive natura.)

  • Libro "Filo-Sofía del Judaísmo: construyendo nuestro destino"

    El Dr. Szlajen en esta nueva visión educativa, basada en la filosofía de Yehuda Abarbanel, proporciona un enfoque complementario sobre el judaísmo formulando un sistema, práctico e intelectual, cuyo último propósito es producir en cada participante de dicha visión, el vínculo y compromiso actual con las prácticas e ideas reconocidas como judías, cambiando el concepto de identidad por el de bio-grafía judía, otorgando así sentido y enriqueciendo la vida judía de cada uno.     In this paper Dr. Szlajen analyzes the concepts of "éthique" and "visage" in Emmanuel Lévinas' thought, clarifies their meanings, and searches for their origins with a view to outlining the way in which Lévinas establishes "being in relation" as an essentially human characteristic.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (En este trabajo el Dr. Szlajen analiza los conceptos de "éthique" y "visage" en el pensamiento de Emmanuel Lévinas, clarifica sus significados e investiga sus orígenes delineando la forma en la cual Lévinas establece el "ser en relación" como una característica esencialmente humana.)

  • Freedom in Spinoza's Philosophy: beyond the unilateral intellectualism

    In this paper, Dr. Szlajen spreads the concept of freedom in Spinoza's ethical philosophy through individual, political and metaphysical domains, taking into account that freedom in this Jewish philosopher is what every man needs to search for, and it is above all the supreme good that will temper his mind, and grant him serenity and eternal bliss. Thus, Dr. Szlajen shows that even though Spinoza's philosophy, especially regarding its geometric method, is the ultimate expression of rationalism and determinism in the Age of Philosophical Systems it is also a moral manifestation which takes root in much deeper ground than that of unilateral intellectualism. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (En este trabajo el Dr. Szlajen extiende el concepto de libertad en la filosofía ética de Spinoza a través de los dominios individuales, politicos y metafísicos, dado que la libertad para este filósofo judío es aquello que todo hombre debe buscar y el bien supremo que templa su mente y le garantiza serenidad y eterna bienaventuranza. Así, el Dr. Szlajen muestra que si bien la filosofía de Spinoza, especialmente por su método geométrico, es la más alta expresión de racionalismo y determinismo en la era de los sistemas filosóficos, es también una manifestación moral que arraiga en una más profunda base que en la del unilateral intelectualismo.)

  • Ética, Rostro y Justicia: Problemática de la Filosofía de Lévinas como Ética Altruista

    Este trabajo lidia con la dificultad provocada a la filosofía ética de Lévinas, basada en el resguardo de la singularidad del Otro resistiendo mi poder de apropiármelo, violentándolo, alienándolo y silenciándolo, pero que ante el requerimiento de la justicia y sus correspondientes implicaciones punitivas o represivas hacia el Otro, demanda el uso de la fuerza. Es este el límite pragmático de dicha ética del vis-à-vis?------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (This paper deals with Levina's ethical philosophy based on alterity preservation of the Other avoiding one's power of make from the Other one's own, forcing, alienating and silencing the Other, and the dilemma aroused in case when justice and its punishments or repression actions requires the use of force on the Other by security forces.
